We are naming Arooj Aftab our Artist Of The Week!
Arooj Aftab is a singer, composer, and producer based out of Brooklyn, New York. She is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music. Arooj is a versatile artist as she incorporates jazz, electronic, acoustic, indie pop, and Hindustani classical in her music. Her voice can be described as lustrous and calming. Throughout her music career, Arooj has performed at the Andy Warhol Museum and the Lincoln Center. She has also performed at the San Francisco Jazz Festival and the Ecstatic Music Festival. Arooj released her latest album, Vulture Prince, earlier last year. In this album, Arooj wrote about grief and relationships. She also dedicated Vulture Price to her late brother, Maher.
