We are naming Josh Ritter our Artist Of The Week!
Josh Ritter is an Americana and folk singer and songwriter from Moscow, Idaho. Before starting his music career, Josh purchased his first guitar after he heard “The Girl from the North Country” by Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. Throughout his career, Josh has released multiple albums, many of which have been well received by critics. Josh has been known for his distinctive songwriting style. His songwriting has captured the attention of folk fans for years now. In 2006, he was named one of the 100 Greatest Living Songwriters by Paste Magazine. This list also included Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, and David Bowie. Josh is also an author. He released his first novel, Bright’s Passage in 2011 and his second novel The Great Glorious Goddamn of It All was released on September 7th, 2021.
