We are naming Lady Blackbird our Artist Of The Week!
Lady Blackbird, formerly known as Marley Munroe, is a singer based out of Los Angeles. She began her career as a Christian artist with the rock/rap group DC Talk. Later down the line, Lady Blackbird began commuting between Los Angeles and New York where she began writing and performing soulful R&B and jazz. Lady Blackbird has been influenced by artists such as Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, and Billie Holiday. Her experiences with multiple genres have helped transform Lady Blackbird into the artist she is today. Lady Blackbird’s debut album Black Acid Soul was released in September 2021.
