Biography:
Samantha Sharpe is an enigma, not your average acoustic act. With lyrics that will make you think, and a voice that doesn’t quite match her small frame, what you see, may not be what you hear! Living in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Samantha often plays live shows in her local community, showing those around her just what she is truly capable of.
Samantha has performed for live audiences over 200 times in her short career, with these ranging from small community festivals to singing the Australian National Anthem for the National Baseball League during the 2018-19 season. A strong vocalist and a prolific songwriter, she has opened for such acts as The Chantoozies, Sarah McLeod (The Superjesus), Steve Kilbey (The Church), and Allan Caswell, and hopes to one day be the headliner herself!
Sharpe’s most recent single “Home”, written during the global pandemic, is a true example of her musicianship and drive, teaching herself to play keys whilst in lockdown, and applying it to the production of her best work to date. She is truly one to watch.
