We are naming Shannon Lay our Artist Of The Week!
Shannon Lay is a folk singer from Los Angeles, California. Shannon grew up in Redondo Beach, California where she began playing the guitar at age 13. After moving to Los Angeles, Lay joined a band she found on Craigslist, Facts on File. She is also a former member of the band Feels. Shannon has been a solo artist since 2015. She has released three studio albums as a solo artist. Her primary genres are American folk and alternative. ‘Recording 15’ is one of her most well-known singles where Shannon expresses either letting go or holding on to a lost relationship. After the release of her third album, August, Shannon decided to quit her job and make music her full-time career.
