New Music Review: Cosmic Sigh by Erin Rae
Cosmic Sigh is the fourth single from Erin Rae’s upcoming sophomore album. Erin Rae is a country and folk singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Cosmic Sigh is a song that crosses a few different genres including indie rock, country, and psychedelic pop. A term for this blend of genres has been dubbed, cosmic county. Erin explains that “Cosmic Sigh is about the fortitude within; the commitment to have faith in the unknown, and stay the course the intuition is hinting at, and eventually, hopefully, trusting oneself.” Between Erin’s angelic and hypnotic voice, the orchestral strings, and the overall production of the song, Cosmic Sigh gives off a sentimental mood.
Erin’s new album, Lighten Up, will be released on February 4, 2022.
