New Music Review: Fatigue by L’Rain
Experimental pop singer L’Rain released her latest album Fatigue just four years after her self-titled debut album released in 2017. The Brooklyn-based artist is not only a vocalist, but she is also a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Fatigue is a strong sophomore album. In Fatigue, L’Rain explores the capability to change. L’Rain also reflects on remembrance, grief, and anxiety as she remembers and honors her late mother. The 14-track album is filled with surprises. Each song is different, and they all flow together nicely. L’Rain has an incredible vocal range that fits well with the soulfulness and synth throughout the album. L’Rain gives listeners insight to how she has dealt with being ready for change and how she expresses her emotions.
