New Music Review: DETOUR by Leila Dey
Leila Dey is an R&B artist based out of Toronto, Ontario. DETOUR is Leila’s latest release. This EP begins with a spoken word piece that lays the foundation for the remaining six songs. All seven songs flow effortlessly which makes for a pleasant listening experience. DETOUR has a modern R&B feel with excellent songwriting. In this EP, Leila takes the listener down an emotional journey as she sings about her life experiences and personal struggles. Leila has started to make a name for herself in the Toronto music scene, and with the release of DETOUR she will only get bigger.
