Artist Of The Week: Johnny Ray Jones

We are naming Johnny Ray Jones our Artist Of The Week!

Johnny Ray Jones is a blues and soul singer from southern California. He gained the nickname “The Godson of Soul” after being a vital contributor to the Los Angeles blues scene. Johnny had been coached and mentored by blues musician  Sam “Bluzman” Taylor. He has performed with blues artists Big Joe Turner and The Red Devils, and he has opened for Leon Russell, John Mayall, and Steppenwolf. After several years of performing in blues clubs, in 2017 Johnny finally released his debut album, Feet Back in the Door. Some of the tracks on this album were written and recorded in the 90s. This past July, Johnny released his second album, Way Down South.
