We are naming Fauvely our Band Of The Week! Check out their music video for their song “Beautiful Places.”
Officially formed in 2017, Fauvely (faux-vlee) is an indie-pop band based out of Chicago consisting of 4 members. The lead singer is Sophie Brochu, the founder of the band. Brochu started out as a solo artist and then eventually formed the band. She started the band after receiving her master’s degree in fiction writing. Dale Price is the guitarist/keyboardist, Dave Piscotti on the drums, and Phil Conklin is the bassist. They describe their music as deeply personal dream-pop.
The band is currently spending part of their time in Savannah, Georgia, and the other part in Chicago. Fauvely played their first live show in 2016 in Chicago at a small venue called D.C. Torium. Their whimsical melodies with Brochu’s dreamy voice have created distorted and dreamy pop music. Fauvely’s debut album, Beautiful Places, was released this past April.
