British singer, songwriter, and poet Arlo Parks recently released her debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams. The indie pop album starts off with Arlo showcasing her poetic talent with the opening track being a spoken-word piece. Arlo has a soothing voice, which could be compared to singer Janelle Monáe. Collapsed in Sunbeams is a poetic album that sounds like you’re listening to Arlo’s diary. It is not surprising that Collapsed in Sunbeams reached number three on the UK Albums Chart. This album is very intimate which makes it relatable to Arlo’s listeners.
